Lennard Roubos (Executive Director)

Lennard has more than 35 years’ experience in the international development sector with emphasis on South Asia. He has worked for Dutch donor organizations like ICCO, HIVOS and MM in various capacities including Programme Manager & Coordinator Overseas Relations. His areas of interest are portfolio management, networking, linking & learning, project cycle management, participatory planning, lobby and fundraising. Lennard is also experienced in organizing seminars, conferences, symposiums and media events. Lennard has worked in pro bono capacity for Amnesty International The Netherlands and as Buddy with Het Wereldhuis for 'undocumented' people living in Amsterdam. Lennard is also an acclaimed author about the Dutch development sector. He wrote a number of human interest stories and columns. Lennard studied Development Economics at the Free University (VU) of Amsterdam. As post-doctorate student Lennard participated in academic  courses dealing with PME methods at the University of Utrecht, a course on Refugee Issues at the Free University of Amsterdam and a study regarding South Asia at the Royal Tropical Institute (KIT) in Amsterdam. During 1996 to 1999, Lennard took active part in a North-South dialogue on PMEL. His main focal areas are South Asia and South-East Asia. He lived and worked for one year in South Asia. By July 2015 he decided to establish his own development consultancy firm, ‘DISHARI Consult’.
Prof. Ranendra K. Bhattacharjee (Associate Consultant)

Professor R.K. Bhattacharjee is an internationally acclaimed expert in social development. He has more than 55 years of rich experience in research, teaching, university administration, development project management, development consulting, microfinance and independent directorship in the financial sector. Some of the positions Professor Bhattacharjee has held over his career, include Director & Professor, UGC-UNFPA Population Education; Director & Professor, Continuing Education & Extension, Burdwan University; Professor & Head, Indian Institute of Social Welfare & Business Management (India's first B-school); Senior Fellow & Coordinating Director, NSS Pilot Project (which was subsequently adopted as a National Programme), Gandhian Institute of Studies; Project In-charge – for Women, Youth and Child Development, Tamia Tribal Pilot Project, Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS); and several roles at ECAFE/ESCAP, United Nations, other international bodies, and various universities and professional institutes. An alumnus of the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai and a Sir Dorabji Tata Research Fellow; Professor Ranendra K. Bhattacharjee has authored 34 major research studies and 3 books throughout his career. He joined ‘DISHARI Consult’ at the time of its inception.
